Update- No more Boil water notice - run your water lines for five minutes to clear them.

Update: The State Division of Environmental Health, Drinking Water Program,

 Rescinded the Boil water notice on May 28th at around 3:30 PM after three water tests came back negative. 

Run all potable water lines for five minute to clear them before using tap water for potable use.

Until Further Notice, Boil City Water Downtown for two minutes before potable use.

Emergency repair is underway

Notice will be provided here on the website when the State has Rescinded the boil water notice.  (Because of Memorial Day, this will likely be later in the week.)

Please help distribute this notice to anyone who has City Water Downtown and experienced an outage or low water pressure earlier today 05/24/2026

Some locations downtown may not have experienced slowed or shut off water and water from those locations is likely safe for potable use.  If you don't know if your water was slowed or temporality shut off, assume it is under the boil water notice take precautions until the boil water notice is lifted.
